The great beast that lies within the Mysts of Raw Power. It is made from millennia of churning creation and destruction. Forces of law, chaos, good, and evil, and while the gods drew out the good and the constructive. Their virtues and edicts slowly took away bits and pieces of the balance within the Myst. Soon its larva grew restless, fed by the lingering excess of darkness and hatred. Soon, it had grown fat, and it’s form spanned leagues. A maw made to swallow nations, racked with foul teeth and dripping with tainted ichor of gods never born.
The Beast is an avatar of finality more than it is a true deity, but it’s power is great enough that it’s worshipers see boons and hellish blessings in its wake. Fealty fed and rewarded by things misunderstood by saner minds.
The form of the Beast is no singular horror. It is a gaping maw of storming, swirling madness and the fear of nonexistence. The terror of failure, the knowledge that you and all you know, and all you’ve ever done are futile.
The First of the Antigods, and the Final.
The Beast is worshiped by those who find futility in the endeavors of the gods, and of man. They worship it’s destructive power and find hope to be a sickness. The only truth is to be found in the silence of absolute destruction.
It is also worshiped by those who wish to have all they crave at any cost. They find kindred motivation in the fact that the beast consumes all without thought simply to sate its hunger.
